Questions

Can the WEN DF1100T run Zoeller Model 53 3/10 HP sump pump, 115 V?

Runs. Running draw 1,116 W fits within 8,300 running watts. Startup watts were not published; 11,000 starting watts is at least 3× the running draw, the common planning allowance for a compressor or pump start.

What watts were compared?

Generator: 8,300 running W and 11,000 starting W on gasoline. Appliance: 1,116 W running, startup not published.

How long will it run?

Fuel runtime depends on total load. Published runtime: 8.5 hr at 50% load on gasoline, 3 hr on a 20-lb propane tank.

Where did the numbers come from?

WEN product page and manual: gasoline 11000 surge / 8300 running; propane 9500 / 7500; 4 GFCI 5-20R, L5-30R, 14-50R, 12V DC; 6.6 gal; 8.5 hr gas at 50%, 3 hr propane (20 lb). No L14-30R: a 30A 240V inlet needs a 14-50P to L14-30R adapter cord, which Willrun does not assume. Zoeller lists the Model 53 at 3/10 HP, 115 V or 230 V, and 4.8–9.7 A. The 115 V automatic model in Zoeller's 50-series technical table is 9.7 A. Running watts used here are 9.7 × 115 = 1,115.5 W. Startup amps are not published. How often the float runs is site-specific, so no duty cycle is stored.
