Questions

Can the Generac GP8000E COsense run Panasonic NN-SU656WAWH microwave, electrical input?

Runs. Running draw 1,500 W fits within 8,000 running watts and this is not a motor-start load.

What watts were compared?

Generator: 8,000 running W and 10,000 starting W on gasoline. Appliance: 1,500 W running, startup not published.

How long will it run?

Fuel runtime depends on total load. Published runtime: 15 hr at 25% load, 10 hr at 50% load.

Where did the numbers come from?

Generac spec sheet: 8000 W running, 10000 W starting; L14-30R with 2-pole 30A breaker; 15 hr at 25%, 10 hr at 50%; COsense shutdown. Panasonic lists power supply 120 V / 60 Hz, microwave output 1,100 W, and microwave power consumption 1,500 W. The station has to supply the 1,500 W input, not the 1,100 W cooking output. A separate startup surge is not published. X-Boost and Power Lifting are not applied, because those modes are described for simple heating loads and a microwave is an electronic supply.
